Behind closed doors is an interactive outdoor storytelling experience taking place in the streets of London.

Inspired by choose-your-own-adventure books, this individual audio show takes audiences through a labyrinth of stories accessible via mobile phones: clues will lead to different locations where audiences will hear tales inspired by the lives of a small community. From comic to tragic, poetic to absurd, stories explore themes of intimacy, how neighbourhood stories connect and how strangers’ perceptions define us.

This project has been developed specifically to take place during the Covid-19 pandemic and aims to create exciting opportunities to engage with theatre despite lockdown restrictions. The experience combines sound design, mobile technology, video, miniature art installations and elements of socially-distant live performance.
